First of all, thanks for everyone's patience with how long it took for the tournament to finally have things happen. I know it took forever and I feel like big dumb butt for making you guys wait. T_T Good news is, as I hope I've made apparent, I should be around and available for actually getting things done now.

Anywho, I just wanted to clarify what the field over the tournament does when it prevents injury. When a fighter gets hit, the weapon does indeed strike the opposite pony, but the flesh and bones remain perfectly fine(with the exception of some light bruising later on after several fights), but the field emulates the pain the character should be feeling. If a pony gets hit with an arrow then the arrow bounces off of the pony like its a dummy practice arrow, but the person who got hit feels like they were shot and the pain lingers as it would normally. Same with swords and the like. Being struck with a big cleaving swing wont draw blood, but it would hurt a lot in order to properly take into account the importance of pain in a fight.

As for more fatal wounds, i.e. being hit with something that would normally take your head off, they would just cause you to fall unconscious in a decisive KO.

If there is any confusion or any questions about this or anything else then please feel free to ask. I admit I may not have done a perfect job explaining things the first time with all the stuff that was going on with me, so Id understand If you need some clarification.

Hey guys.

Just wanted to put this here in case there's been any confusion as I realize I was never entirely clear about it.

Currently there is no strict turn order for the tournament thread. The way I've been handling it has been for me to wait long enough for a few people to have enough time to post then respond to a block of responses at once instead of one by one for the sake of keeping it all generally happening at the same time.

So basically feel free to post when you have the chance and if you see me post before you have a chance to respond its merely to keep things moving and not intended to be taken as me skipping you.

Also, I apologize if things have taken a while to happen.

Also also, a quick poll type dealy: You guys still want to do it, right? I know I do, but I have noticed how long its been taking and have been getting a little worried lately about all of your enjoyment of it. I haven't put you to sleep, have I?

I'm enjoying it rather well. Especially the different spins on the fights; some are action packed, some are hilarious; you add a diverse zest that keeps it interesting to a wider audience with differing tastes.

For anyone who might be bothered by how slow its been going, feel free to join other threads in the mean time, especially if you don't have many characters to go around. I wouldn't mind.

Yall probably have already guessed by now, especially with my inactivity lately, but the whole tournament thing didn't really work out. I blame myself for not planning it better, not organizing better and taking on too many people, but regardless it's all kind of lead to me being pretty sure that I can't keep it going at any kind of regular pace at this point. It's been waaaay too many months for it to be able to go how I'd originally planned and it feels like it had sort of become too slow going on my part to justify keeping it going.

So basically to sum it up, if anyone still is waiting on posts and the like for that particular thread, I'd say treat it as a side thing that isn't really important anymore. I may still post in it if I can actually decide what I would want to do with it these days (chances of this being rather low but I'll say something if it does happen), but it shouldn't be treated as a priority, a conclusion I trust most have already come to on their own.

Sorry, guys, I screwed up. :/
