Going Off The Rails
« on: May 30, 2014, 09:57:27 pm »
Nivalia quickens her pace as she nears the train station; the thief was getting away, blending into the crowd as the passengers begin boarding. Caprica looks around, slightly confused at the sudden change of pace and begins to tighten around the mare's shoulders. Nivalia pauses, looking down at her pet and patting her on the head, "I'm sorry Capri, but I'm in a rush. Here, get in the bag and rest." The mare opens her satchel, the python immediately slithering off her body and into the bag. With Caprica safe Nivalia continues forward, stopping once more to look around. The humming of the train engines coupled with the conversing of the ponies around her create a barrier of background noise, though that wasn't so much of an issue. "Dang it! Where'd he go?" She pouts slightly, the last thing she wanted to ask for help but unfortunately fate had other plans.

The potato themed superhero runs after Nivalia while trying to catch her attention a few times, but she either didn't notice or ignored him. He manages to catch up to her, though he was moving faster she somehow managed to transverse the crowd by the train station better.

When Potato catches up to her he yells at her "WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?" after stepping in front of her to block her movement, not caring about the ponies now staring at him.

Nivalia steps back at the sudden outburst the caped crusader has as he stops right in front of her; Caprica herself poking her head out to see what was all the commotion. The mares ears fold back, then pivot right back forward as she rose her own voice as well; not as much as Potato had, but just enough where she could be heard, "Excuse me! Who do you think you are that you can just yell at somepony trying to help you! Honestly did your parents ever teach you any manners!" Nivalia dismissively waves a hoof at him as she looks around, ignoring the curious and concerned looks of those around them. "I saw him." She continues, her tone calmer now, "He was right around here I just know it." The mare glares at Potato Ponie once again, "How about you start acting like a hero and start looking for this guy instead of yelling at innocent pedestrians?"

"And why don't you stop thinking you know what you're talking about when you don't!" The potato themed superhero snaps back, his voice at a much more reasonable level. "I'M suppose to be looking for him, not you! You're going to get hurt and then it'll be on me, so you need to go home! Don't worry about it, I've done this hundreds of times. I catch a thief like twice a day. I can catch this guy by myself." Potato says, waving Niv off with his front left hoof and trotting off towards where the thief had gone, his cape flowing in the wind a bit.

Nivalia remained silent as Potato Ponie snapped back at her; by the time he was done her jaw clenched considerably. Caprica simply remained blank faced, slithering up over the mare's shoulders to calm her down. Nivalia looks down, the pressure against her teeth lifting as she gave her pet a pat on the head. "Don't worry Capri, we'll find this guy. Besides, we're already looking for another unicorn, adding one to the list won't hurt." The mare looks around, still sticking to her instincts to find the thief. She notices some magical activity near the train, and decides to follow it, soon finding herself in front of the ticket counter a short distance away.

Hawkson Heartfixer levitated the ticket he may or may not have bought with stolen money into his hooves. Alright, you’re one step closer to moving you and Vec to Canterlot Heartfixer. He would move to Ponyville but… Well it got attacked by Cerberus a while back soooo… Yeah. Hawkson quickly checks how many bits he has left, which is quite a *bit*. See what I did there? Seeeeeeeeee? OK anyways, Hawkson trots towards the train after checking that he wasn’t overcharged. At least not more overcharged than they were already. I mean, 200 bits for a train ticket? !@#$ing 200 bits!

On his to the train he accidentally bumps into a mare with dark grey coat with a rather basic rose cutie mark. She has eyes that are emerald green and her mane consists of teal and navy blue. She was rather pretty, but Hawkson doesn't have time for that.

He halfheartedly mutters “Sorry.” and continues on his way.

"No harm done dear." Nivalia replies as the stallion accidentally bumps into her. Suddenly she tenses up, 'Oh! That's him! I found him! Ha! Spuds can just- wait... Where did he go now?' The mare looks around, slowly following the grey unicorn as not to lose him. She gets an idea and looks over to Caprica, who also seems awake at her owners excitement, "Capri, buscar al caballo de patata." Without hesitation, the python slithers off Nivalia and glides along the floor through the clouds as she searches for the caped pony with his scent already stored in her memory. After several minutes of looking, the snake finally manages to catch up to Potato Ponie and quickly slithers around his front hoof to get his attention.

Meanwhile, Nivalia cautiously tails the grey unicorn until she gets an idea from the train that the suspect seems to be heading towards. With a calm demeanor the mare slowly walk up to the unicorn and lightly taps his shoulder, "Excuse me sir, would you be able to tell me what the destination of that train is?" It wasn't the best distraction, but as long as it bought Caprica time then it was worth trying. Besides, this unicorn doesn't look half bad, perhaps it might even be a pleasurable conversation.

Potato Ponie is trotting along looking for the grey unicorn in the opposite direction of Nivalia when Caprica starts slithering around in front of him. “Hey, quit it!”The potato themed superhero says, trying not to step on the snake.

“Hey wait a second, you’re the snake that Nivalia McStubbornIdiot Pants has.”  He then says with a curious tone as he picks up the snake. “What do you want?”

The snake merely hisses at the superhero then slips from his grasp, going off in the direction of Nivalia. “Ok then, I’ll bite.” Potato says to himself as he trots after the snake.

Hawkson is walking towards the train when he feels a tap on one of his shoulders. Apparently the mare he bumped into waned to know where the train was going. It should be fairly obviously but whatever. “Its going to Canterlot. It leaves in five minutes so you better get a ticket and get on real quick if you want on, honey.” Hawkson then continues on his way.

Nivalia nods, "Alright, thank you sir. I should get my ticket as soon as I can." As the unicorn trots off Nivalia rolls her eyes and reaches into her bag. Fortunately she planned on extensive travel and purchased a pass for multiple uses on trains, so her need to buy a ticket was unnecessary. Five minutes though isn't much time, the time limit causing the mare to fidget as she waits eagerly for her python to return. Meanwhile, Caprica gracefully slithers through the treading hooves around her as she leads the caped crusader to her owner. Finding Nivalia is never a problem, her scent is permanently engraved in her memory. As a couple of minutes pass Nivalia's ears perk up as she sees her marble colored snake approach. As if the two were away for months, Nivalia scoops Caprica up, "Ay mi precioso! Estoy feliz que tu esta bien." Looking up she spots Potato Ponie and waves as Caprica wraps herself around her shoulders, "I found him! Follow me! Hurry!" Wasting no time the mare begins running over to the train the gray unicorn was boarding, seeing the last few passengers get onboard.

Potato Ponie follows Caprica through the crowd. When they reach Nivalia he’s confused by the strange language Niv starts speaking. When she tells she found the grey unicorn he's genuinely surprised, but follows her anyway. Apparently she was a bit more determined than PoPo thought. When they reach the train Potato spots the unicorn getting on the train and rushes after him, yelling back at Niv “Come on, hes right over there!” not noticing her accidentally running into a rather angry looking stallion.

“HEY WATCH IT!” The angry stallion shouts at Niv, throwing her to the ground and making his way to the train entrance. Potato notices that she stopped following him and rushes back through the crowd to find her. When he sees her on the ground he offers her a hoof up.

“You alright?” He asks in a concerned voiced.

Nivalia shakes her head as her hoof rubs against her lower back where she lands on. Looking up at a concerned Potato Ponie her expression turns from slightly scared, to VERY angry. "OH HAY NO!" The mare grabs the caped pony's hoof and yanks herself up, nearly pulling Potato Ponie to the ground with her. Caprica by this time has slithered onto her owner, already puffing herself up in size as she shares the mare's aggression. "That jerk did NOT just knock me down with an attitude!" Nivalia pulls off her satchel and tosses it to Potato Ponie before storming to the stallion that knocked her down, "Hold my bag!" As soon as she reaches him she grabs his shoulder, spins him around, and delivers the loudest slap to the face; the sound echoes throughout the entire station, silencing everyone around her. "HOW DARE YOU TREAT A LADY LIKE THAT!" Before the stallion could respond she delivers another loud backhoof across his other cheek, "If you do ANYTHING like that, I will END YOU! I'LL TEAR YOU TO PIECES AND FEED YOU TO MY SNAKE!" As if on queue Caprica delivers a sinister hiss at the stallion, fully baring her fangs in the daylight. "Now get off this train right now!"

Potato barely manages to stay upright as Nivalia almost pulls him to the ground. He’s about to say something before Niv throws her bag at him and goes after the stallion. He just stands there, speechless, as Niv goes off in a fiery storm of rage that not even Celestia herself could stop. This was probably not going to end well.

The angry stallion is rather startled as he gets turned around. He utters a sound of pain as he gets really, really painfully slapped. He’s about to respond to Niv’s saying how he shouldn’t treat a lady like that with “I can if I want to!” but gets painfully slapped again. He wriggles out of Nivalia’s grasp after she yells at him some more and runs off, water streaming down his face. He was now going to be late for his mother’s funeral for, unbeknownst to Nivalia, his mother had died the day before and he responded with intense anger to hide his grief. And now he was going to be late for, or possibly miss, his mother’s funeral. I hope you’re happy Niv. Really, I hope it was worth it. You’re a monster. An adorable monster, but a monster nonetheless.

Potato cringes as Niv slaps the poor stallion and watches as he runs off before turning to Niv. “Jeesh, don’t you think that was a little harsh? The guy was probably just having a bad day.”

Nivalia takes deep breaths as the stallion runs off, Caprica herself relaxing and coiling around the mare's shoulders. Looking over to Potato Ponie as he spoke, she slightly blushes out of embarrassment when she realizes how out of proportion her reaction was. "Alright I admit I was a bit extreme. But still, you don't just knock a mare over and say something like that. One or the other that's reasonable, but both..." She remains silent for a moment, looking around at the other ponies still looking at her. "Let's just go already. The unicorn's on that train to Canterlot so... yeah." She reaches over and takes back her bag from the caped pony, "Thanks for holding my things." Turning back to the train, Nivalia and her pet board the train, presenting her pass to the staff. "This is for myself and the caped one back there."

Potato thinks about responding to the “That’s reasonable…” part of Niv’s statement but decides against it. I mean, seriously? That stallion REALLY shouldn't have done anything like that, not to anypony, but there are better ways to handle it then Niv’s way. But, like Nivers said, they had a train to catch, so no time for that.

“Yeah, because I’m nothing if not a bag boy.” Potato responds sarcastically to Nivs thanks. He was not very fond of being bag boy, though he tended to be one quite a bit. Potato waits as Niv presents her pass to the staff. He then follows Niv aboard the train. He waits for them to be cleared before he follows Niv to their seats.

“Hope you you don’t mind me asking, but where’d you get that?” Potato asks, looking at the pass Nivalia had.
