"I moved here from Canterlot recently, and Kit flew in from Manehattan just the other day, so we decided to open up a shop for our businesses together," Kindle explained to Ryo. "I make candles, and Kit designs clothing. I was just about to move some of my stuff over there from my house." Kindle was about to close and lock her front door behind her with magic, when she was struck with an idea. "Hey, would you happen to be any good at heavy-lifting magic?" Kindle asked the mare. "I've got this large table I need to move across town, but my levitation magic isn't strong enough. I'd pay you for the job, of course."

"A-adorable...? I- Eeep!" Ryo eeped When Kit placed her wing over her. She managed to keep her cool and not shake uncontrollably, but she did basically froze still. "I-i got here few days ago..." She answered to Kit, before making a small attempt to move away from under the griffons wing, but failed to do so. "I-i moved here from C-Canterlot..."

Kindle was from Canterlot too? Ryo didn't recognize her face, but offered her a small smile and a nod. She needed to ease the tension and tried to spark some small talk. "I-it's a... N-nice city...?" Mission failed... Thankfully The two seemed more than capable to take care of the small talk. And Kit was from Manehattan? Ryo turned to look at the griffon, gave her a smile and a nod as well and she decided to try the small talk again. "I-i've never been in M-Manehattan... I bet it's a... N-nice city...?"

Hearing that the duo already had a store of their own and therefore most likely a profitable business made Ryo slightly jealous, but maybe someday she would manage to open her own store. She just needed to figure out the product she would produce and sell... The stuff Kit and Kindle made wasn't really Ryo's specialty. She had zero fashion sense and candles made her feel uneasy, But Ryo still answered "S-sure... W-why not..." To Kit's offer to see their store

Ryo's ears perked up at Kindle's question. "I-i've done some heavy l-lifting before..." And she would even receive some money for it? She would at least try moving this table, since she still needed to eat and her bits we're running dangerously low. "I-i can try..." She said, but didn't move since Kit was still holding her wing over Ryo.

Kit listened to the two before agreeing with what Ryo just said. "Adorable, or is it...Adorkable?" She said with a shrug as she left the wing on Ryo's body casually like a pony might throw a hoof over another pony's shoulder before she tilted her head to the side, blinking owlishly as she chirped at Ryo's assessment of Manehatten.

"It can be...it's certainly buzzing and active for sure, but...." She said with a shrug of her hsoulders. "I like Ponyville....my nest and broodmates are in Manehatten..but I think I can make it here." She said with a nod as she wiggled her rump gently, as she gently pulled her wing off Ryo. "I heard there was a Pepper Farmer here...might have to find him at some point.." She mused before smiled a little. "Of course, perhaps I can throw in a little something as well for your heavy lifting. I always enjoy watching unicorn's work....we gryphons don't really do much with magic, pony magic at least.."

"Great!" Kindle said to Ryo, pushing her front door open once again. "This one, here." Kindle's work table was a sturdy piece of furniture made of oak. Small scorch marks and hardened droplets of wax dotted the table top, evidence of the unicorn's many projects at the table. Kindle had shipped it down to Ponyville specially from its former location in the corner of her father's forge.

"A pepper farmer..." Kindle thought out loud at Kit's comment. "I think I bumped into him at Ivory's festival last night. Haven't seen him since, though. Why, have you got a craving for some spicy food? By the way Ryo, what type of thing were you up to in Canterlot?" she asked, hoping to ease the mare's nervousness with a bit of casual conversation.

Ryo didn't say anything to nicknames Kit gave her, thinking that it would probably make her blush to try and say something about them. She remained still under Kit's wing, and mostly gave her contribution to the conversation with nods. When Kit lifted her wing, Ryo darted after Kindle, to see the table she was supposed to move. "I-i think i can move this..." She needed to, since she really could use the money. Ryo wrapped the table in her magic, and with little effort managed to lift it up. Ryo paid no real attention to Kit and Kindle's talk about a pepper farmer as she was busy trying to fit the table through the door.

Ryo's ears perked up when Kindle asked her a question. "W-well i... W-worked as a local blacksmith's assistant. I-i also made item deliveries around Canterlot..." She kept her answer as short as possible in order to focus on the table she was carrying. She was ready to follow the Duo when ever they were ready to leave, which was hopefully sooner than later... The table wasn't exactly a light one.

Kindle nodded when she saw the table being lifted. "Oooh. Adorkable with muscles. Me likey." She said with a wink before she swished her tail lightly back and forth. "Away!" She proclaimed as she began to amble slowly towards the dwelling in which she and kindle and made their new shop and the gryphons home, her wings fluffing out a bit as she went, casting glances at the two. "Maybe we have a new delivery mare in the making?" she mused lightly, her fur ruffling as a light breeze hit her.

"A blacksmith's assistant?" Kindle said as she began trotting down the street to show Ryo which way to go. "My father's a blacksmith in Canterlot; I helped around the forge some. Never really had a knack for metalwork, though, wax is much easier for me to handle." Kindle nearly asked the mare what her special talent was, before realizing for the first time that she didn't have a cutie mark. Although, Kit technically didn't have one either, and she seemed to know what her talents were just fine. Kindle was mildly surprised that a pony around her age still didn't have a cutie mark yet, but she assumed that Ryo had been asked about it many times before. "So, what made each of you decide to move to Ponyville, anyway?" Kindle asked both Kit and Ryo, hoping it would be a simpler topic of conversation than cutie marks and talents.

Ryo blushed slightly at Kit's remark, but said nothing to it. She walked after the Duo, doing her best to keep the table steady and in the air. While her contribution to the conversation was small, Ryo did still listen. The table required her full attention at the moment.

"I... I want to try put up my own business here in ponyville." Ryo said. "And a change of s-scenery was a welcome change too..." It hadn't been too long since Ryo left Canterlot, But she couldn't help but feel a little homesick. She also wanted to write to Mana Burn, but thought that she'd first try to find a job, to have something positive to write him.

Would look over Ryo and then Kindle as they walked, tilting her head to the side. "Why did I move to Ponyville?" She mused slowly, her wings twitching softly. "Well..I had a friend here, Ivory, and I moved down here to be closer to her, though I haven't seen her since the festival." She said with a small frown before she shrugged. "But! I am already making new friends. Yay." She said with a soft chirp. "Plus I had to get away from my family in manehatten, urgh, everyone always competing with each other...big families, y'know?" She mused, her black fur rippling as she remembered that particular situation as her paws and claws dug into the ground a bit.

"Oh! Here we are." She said as they arrived at the shop, her tail swishing form side to side happily at her accomplishment.

"About the same for me," Kindle said. "Always wanted to start my own candle business, but Canterlot was a bit to large and crowded for me." She came to a stop in front of their shop's entrance, unhitching herself from the cart full of tools and supplies in order show Ryo where to place the table. When she opened the front door, Coal padded over, meowing inquisitively. "Oh, Ryo, this is my cat, Coal. He loves food and uses his cuteness as a weapon," Kindle warned, rubbing her cat's head affectionately. "Anyway, if you could just bring the table up these stairs; I'm making a workshop out of one of the upper rooms."

"Finally..." Was all Ryo was thinking when Kit informed them of their arrival to their destination. She was visibly sweating from carrying the table, that proved to be much heavier than Ryo had first assumed, but thankfully she managed to bring it all the way to the store. Ryo offered an exhausted smile to Kindle when she introduced Coal, and even though she didn't want to be rude, Ryo couldn't float the table for long and hurried to float it upstairs, and to the room Kindle wanted it into. After the table was in it's place, Ryo slumped down on the ground, panting and glad she could finally rest for a bit.

Kit smiled a little bit as she watched RYo work so hard.  Pony magic must be strenuous indeed! As  Kindle and Ryo maneuvered the table, Kit would ruffle around in the kitchen, before she brought back a small tray of glasses with water.  It wasn't the best thing ever, but hey!  She managed it by sauntering up the  stairs and using her tail to keep everything properly balanced, as she came up the stairs. "Thirsty?" She asked the duo, before setting the tray down and waiting on the others before she took any, her wings fluffing ever so lightly.

"Thanks, Kit," Kindle said as she levitated a glass off of the tray and took a sip of water. Dragging her cart back and forth across Ponyville all afternoon had tired her out. Ryo looked even worse for the wear, though, and Kindle wondered if the mare had taken on slightly more than she could handle. Still, Ryo had finished the job, which reminded Kindle that she still had to pay her. Setting the glass to the side, Kindle opened her saddlebag and took out some bits, holding them out to Ryo. "Thanks for moving the table, there's no way I could have managed that on my own."

Ryo slowly floated a glass of water from the tray and with one chug drank all of it. She set the glass aside and thanked Kit for the water. "D-do you mind... If i rest for a bit lo-longer...?" Ryo asked, hoping that she could lay down for a little bit longer.

When Kindle offered her the bits, Ryo hesitated to accepts them, not sure how much she could take for, in the end really easy job. "A-are you sure that's not... T-too much...?" Ryo asked Kindle before accepting the bits.

Kit would chuckle a little bit as she watched Ryo and Kindle drink their water in such different manners, before Ryo mentioned resting. "Oh dear, I would be remiss if we didn't allow our valiant work horse to rest on anything but the best!" She said scooting over, and from one of the piles of her own furniture that had been delivered while they were out, she pushed over a small divan that Ryo could hop onto and rest on the comfortable cushions. "There my dear, do please get a good rest on this~ I insist."
