Teles: Sometimes Celestia, like everypony, could really use a day or two off from work to relax and not have to stress over her job. To unwind and come down from being the eldest of the two ruling ponies of the country and just be normal for a bit. Sometimes a princess doesn't want everypony around her bowing and checking every move they make out of nervousness over making any tiny mistake that, to them, may cause her to think less of them despite all evidence to the contrary. Sometimes she just wants to be viewed as just another pony. And sometimes she can.

Whenever Celestia has a few days to spare, it's not uncommon for her to consider heading out and being among her subjects as one of them under the magical disguise of a regular pegasus who supposedly just works some boring desk job up at the castle. Using her magic, Celestia changes her appearance so as to hide her horn, shrink herself down to average mare height, lose the impressive size and waviness of her mane and tail as well as change it to be only a warm orange instead of multiple colors, and finally hide her instantly recognizable sun cutie mark behind a mask of it being nothing more than a simple candle flame.

She calls herself Teles when out and about, and she has practiced this act well. Many ponies of Canterlot and even beyond have had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with her without being any the wiser, and every time it was real instead of a whole lot of hoop jumping, acting and stuttering. Some may find this confusing, if anypony other than her sister a very select few knew this secret that is, but Celestia understands the satisfaction a ruler can get from seeing their subject's lives from their level, and it often times helps her in her own decisions and ideas when shes able to witness life in her kingdom from the perspective of everypony else and is able to hear their uncensored opinions directly from them instead of from some scroll that some important pony spent hours trying to fill with pretty words merely to impress her.
