Quietly, Breezy walked beside the other two, wondering most of the way why they needed her to be there. She mostly just felt like she was in the way, and that she didn't really need to be there for just a few books... but her meek nature kept her from saying that, and kept her moving forward. Once they reached the stairs and Breezy noticed that Arcane's leg was giving him some trouble as they ascended, she opened her beak as if to suggest she help him up, before deflating a bit as she closed it once more, apparently deciding against it.

When they eventually arrived at the landing at the top, she followed him to a table and, once she realized eventually what he was doing, hesitantly slipped into one of the chairs next to the table. After this however, she only stared down at the many books that had been laid out in front of her, her gaze lost as she tried to figure out what she should do next.

Not exactly following Arcane's logic of him being the only one who'd hold them behind was him, Breezy frowned lightly in confusion and worry, though she didn't really speak up about that. She didn't want to press the issue. Her gaze moved over to Kit when the gryphon supported Arcane saying they wanted her to come with them, earning a small nod from her even though she still seemed a little awkward. "Yes, Arcane. I am ready to be goink," she said, ready to move with the others whenever. Upon Kit's asking if the books could come alive Breezy, with a straight face indicating Kit's point had gone over her head, responded. "I do not sink books are capable of livink. So zhere is no needink to be vorry about zhat. Besides, zhis place is smellink much too nice to beink a dungeon. For zhat, I am sankful..."

Breezy blinked a couple of times when Kit came back to her, catching her a little by surprise. She'd fully expected them to be wandering around looking for books by this point, not... worrying about her. "Oh, no," Breezy responded when Kit said they wouldn't gobble her up. "Zhat is not vhat I vas..." she began, only to have her words catch in her throat when Kit began to move her along. Breezy let out a quiet squeak of protest, but she ultimately got up and began moving along, if hesitantly. When the two reached Arcane once more, Breezy spoke up again, voice meek. "I vas... em... not vishink to hold eiser of you back... I feel somevhat zhat I vould only be gettink in vay. So... Do not mindink me, perhaps...?"

A little disappointed that there hadn't been anything that she could've done to help Arcane with his leg, Breezy sat quietly as she let the him and Kit discuss amongst themselves, not really having much to add to the conversation. Once more, she tried to become as invisible as a relatively smaller gryphon could--despite it still being larger than most ponies--and turned her attention back down to the book in her talons. She did glance up again briefly when Arcane began walking elsewhere, though she remained planted in place, not really wanting to be a bother to them. She'd still be right there if they wanted to come back, she supposed, but she almost got the feeling that they wanted to get away from her. At least, that's what her lack of self-esteem told her.

Quietly, Breezy looked between Arc and Kit as the two conversed, also curious about Arcane and his future plans for his career in archaeology. At mention of his leg, a look of concern crossed her face and she tried to peer over to his leg to see for herself what was wrong. So, after his suggestion that he help them find what they were looking for, Breezy spoke up with, "Zhat is fine... Vhat is vronk vhis leg, Arcane? Zhere is somesink I am beink able to do?"

Breezy clacked her beak quietly at frustration of not being able to find the word she wanted, then turned her gaze back up to Kit when she mentioned pretty and mature not always making a good model. She hummed quietly, not quite believing the other gryphon's words, before soon feeling a little bit better about the situation when Kit had trouble finding the words to say too. She meekly succumbed to the subsequent ruffling of her feathers, head canting just a little bit. A silence then followed as result of her meek, awkward nature, the young gryphon apparently not knowing what else to say to the other gryphon that had approached her.

As Kit mentioned the librarians were hard to find, Breezy's gaze shifted over to the ponies she had seen behind the counter just a few moments before, only to sigh quietly when she noticed that the ponies just weren't there at all. Looks like she'd have to wait even longer. At least she had company to keep her attention until she finally had an opportunity to talk to them. Turning her eyes back to Kit as it was mentioned that she wanted Breezy of all gryphons to model her clothing, she gave a surprised blink and a quiet stare for a few moments before her usual meek self took over and her expression turned humble.

"Sank you for offer, but I do not sink I am beink zhe best choice for modelink. Zhere are surely prettier and... mature ones to choose. Besides, I am not knovink if moser vould beink okay vhis payink for trip to Ponyville for zhat. Vould sink is... unnecessary. You are... tailor? I am hearink zhere is already famous tailor in Ponyville--competition is not beink too... Em..." she paused then, expression turning troubled as her eyes fell to the ground, apparently having trouble finding the word she wanted to use.

Breezy gave a few small nods alongside Kit's vague description of her opinion on Manehattan, though with nothing to really imagine in regards to the city, she lingered on it only momentarily before she practically dismissed it completely. Politely, she canted her head again when Kit said it was nice to meet the two of them, before idly fidgeting with one of the pages in the open book in front of her as the other gryphon apologized. "It is... em... not beink a big deal, yes? Raser... It is fine. I vas only discussink vhis Arcane about zhis archaeology, and vaitink to be speakink vhiz a librarian. Vhat is zhat is brinkink you here, Kit?"

With a meek demeanor about her, Breezy continued to lie on the floor, waiting for her fellow gryphon to show up, occasionally glancing over to Arcane as if to confirm for herself that he was still there. When the other gryphon showed up and greeted the two of them, Breezy bowed her head slightly in greeting, only to stare blankly at her when she mentioned the two of them being adorable. That blank look soon turned into a tiny smile after Kit introduced herself, and waited until after Arcane responded to do the same. "I am Raihna Adlard... But I am Breezy here. Moser says it is... better to try and blend in. It is still seemink like all eyes find me, sough. Anyvay, is nice to be meetink, Kit. You are not from zhe homeland? Vhat is like? Manehattan?"

Breezy seemed to visibly perk up when Arcane mentioned that he'd be able to help point her in the right direction as far as learning to read went, those few small words apparently helping to boost her mood significantly. It gave her hope that maybe things wouldn't be as bad as she thought they would be, though she still had no idea how or where to start. Plus, she still had to convince her mother that he wasn't a pony she needed to avoid, as impossible a task as that sounded to the young gryphon.

Then, Arc moved on to his experiences with archaeology, disappointing her a little bit by telling her that he had no real stories of his own. The overall prospect of what he was still intrigued her, however, and she came close to saying she was envious of the adventure his future might hold before the familiar sound of a chirp caught her attention along with Arcane's. Initially, she was curious and almost excited to hear yet another gryphon in Canterlot with her. But hesitation and fear as result of what she'd been through in the past overcame her previous emotions, resulting in her seeming to shrink back a little bit as she meekly shook her head and responded with, "I am not knovink whoever zhis is. But I must not beink rude..." After saying this, she took a small breath before replying to her fellow gryphon with a trill in greeting, though it was laced with the hesitation she felt. The only thing that made her better was having Arcane nearby, so she wouldn't be alone with whatever was to come... even though there was nothing saying he would stick with, or by her, through anything.

Breezy seemed to watch Arcane in some small amount of awe when he talked about being there in the library to study and write an essay for archeology. The wide-eyed, intrigued look she had hinted that maybe she'd never heard of or seen anything like that. Or maybe that her young gryphon mind was simply romanticizing the idea. When he then mentioned that she should really learn Equestrian, she seemed to deflate a little bit, gaze falling to the book again. "I vould not be mindink zhat, friend. Zhat is... Actually vhy I hev comink to library, to see if I could learn anyvhere. Zhe ponies who vork here vere busy vhen I valked in, however. As for how lonk I hev been here... Em, half a year? I am sinkink zhat is right." She shrugged then, closing the book before crossing her talons over it as she stared at Arc in intrigue. "Tell me more about zhis 'archeology'? I am... avare of basic idea, but vhat is you do? Do you explore ruins? Have you been anyvhere excitink? Hev you any stories?"

"Vhere Zhe Sidevalk Ends..." Breezy parroted quietly when Arcane dropped the title of the book. Well, at least now she had something to call the assortment of drawings, rather than just 'the book'. Maybe if she ever learned to read Equestrian, she'd come back and take another look at this book... When Arc responded to her question about whether he worked there, she gave him a mostly blank look as if she didn't quite understand what he was talking about. Then, thanks to her meek, awkward nature, his response was followed by an awkward silence, possibly from a result of not knowing what to say to this pony that had approached her.

The meek smile on Breezy's face grew slightly and took on a slightly more confident attribute when the pony in front of her agreed with her comment on the library being a wonderful place, the friendly words helping to ease her into a chat with him. When he introduced himself soon after, Breezy canted her head to him in greeting before looking down to the book in front of her and sliding it a little bit to the side and toward him to give him a better look at the book, as he so obviously was hoping for. "I am not readink, friend," Breezy responded after he asked what she was reading. "I, em... Cannot read. I am not very good viz zhe Equestrian, yes? I am barely beink able to speak... em, communicate. Zhis lankuage is very confuse sometimes. Zhe pictures are nice, sough. Very colorful and easy to be understandink. Never had anysink like vhen I vas hatchlink." She paused then, long enough for her to turn her gaze over to Arc. "So vhat is you are doink in library here, friend? Are you vork here?"

The colors and the images on the pages were fascinating to Breezy. She'd seen pictures before, of course, as well as portraits... But rarely had she seen a story portrayed through pictures. She was mostly able to understand what was going on by seeing what was depicted, even if the words still looked like gibberish to her. So lost in her world was she, though, that she didn't notice that some of the other books that had fallen down began to float away from her. She did hear him speak to her however, and quickly turned her feathery head up to the unfamiliar pony as her previously puffed out feathers flattened back against her head. She smiled meekly at his question and nodded slightly, one of her claws idly fidgeting with the corner of a page. "Yes, I am alright. Sank you for concernink," she responded in halting and broken Equestrian, as well as a strange accent, signaling she was most likely new to the language. "I vas not lookink to vhere I vas goink. I hev not been to library before; is a very vonderful place. Full of mystery, and very good smell. Vould be makink for good candle. Name is Breezy Adlark; vhat is yours?"
