"Seeya later!" Lickety called to the departing stallion, grinning happily as she saw how much he enjoyed the butterscotch she had crafted that very morning before opening the shop.

Once the issue of her customer was dealt with, Lickety turned back to the waiting blue stallion, and, with a cry of excitement, leapt over her counter once more, quickly zipping across the store towards Sound Wrecker, and plopping down in front of him to take a seat, a friendly, and apologetic smile on her face.

"Sorry bout that, Wrecker. Now, where were we? Ooh! Yep, it sounds super interesting! Shame you can't go.. Tell you what? I'll go tonight, and if I see you again, I'll let you know if it was any good or not! Besides, from the look of it, it's a travelling show! Who knows, might be there in Ponyville just after you get there?" Lickety spoke, her voice rapidfire, and friendly, the chubby green mare smiling warmly at the blue stallion throughout her slightly rambling words.

"Course I'm sure, and that sounds like a nice deal! Just make sure to drop by again when you get peckish for some more butterscotch, mister! Or other treats too, I make a Lot of stuff, and the stock generally changes from day-to-day, apart from the real popular goodies." Lickety replied, still beaming happily at the hungry stallion, sitting back in order to wave happily at him with a foreleg, wishing him a good day and success on his poster-distributing mission.

Lickety giggled as she watched Ironfire fight himself over which delicious treat to choose, the green mare smiling widely as he made his decision, and quickly sweeping the selected goodies into a paper bag inscribed with the store's name, which she floated over to him in her bright pink magical aura, a friendly grin on her face.

"Hmm.. For somepony as nice as you; putting up posters to help a friend, combined with the fact that you're a new customer, I'd say that your first three items are on the house, mister Ironfire." The chubby mare offered with a grin, after a moment of thought, clearly not the wisest when it came to free giveaways, although she inwardly hoped that the stallion would enjoy the treats enough to become a common customer of her rather impressive confectionary establishment.

"No problem!" Lickety replied, eagerly, as the large stallion thanked her, and began to hang posters, his follow up question only causing the chubby green mare's grin to widen, as she nodded eagerly, before bouncing over to a nearby display and listing off everything that was available.

"Well.. We have: Butterscotch chunks, butterscotch chips, butterscotch sauce/syrup, butterscotch hard candy, Aaaand butterscotch squares!~" Lickety listed, enthusiastically, punctuating each new butterscotch product by floating a carefully-wrapped and preserved item of said product, onto the shop's counter, for Ironfire's perusal and decision, as the pale green mare hopped back over to her customary spot behind the counter, her grin still wide and friendly.

Nodding vigorously to confirm she was indeed Lickety Split, proprietor of the store in which they currently stood, Lickety looked on in interest as the muscular pony in the doorway produced a poster of some sort, her horn igniting in vibrantly pink light, and gently taking it from Ironfire's own magical grasp, the chubby unicorn bringing the poster up to her face to read it carefully.

Upon finishing, Lickety beamed, and floated the poster back over to her visitor, clear approval and interest twinkling in her bright pink eyes, as she nodded and spoke.
"Sounds cool, Ironfire! Go ahead and hang up however many you like, wherever you'd like!" The chubby mare spoke, voice friendly and welcoming, the green mare clearly eager to support this interesting event, being no small fan of old stories, of the likes her mother used to read to her when she was younger.

If it were even possible, Lickety leaned back against the gumball machine even more casually, as Wrecker took a seat on the floor, the green mare smiling widely at him as he spoke up, thinking for a moment before she replied, tone congratulatory.

"Hehey! Moving out of home, huh? Seems like something to celebrate! Even though it can be tricky without your family, and sometimes a little lonely, independence is a load of fun, and I'm sure you'll have a great time in Ponyville!" Lickety spoke up, giving the blue stallion a little ovation with her forehooves, as she stood up to applaud and leaned back against the gumball machine for support.

Hearing the jingle-jangle of the bell above her shop's entrance, Lickety's grin grew even wider, and with a surprisingly athletic bound, the chubby mare cantered towards the counter and vaulted over it, taking her customary spot behind the counter just in time to greet the new arrival with an enthusiastic wave and eager smile.

"Hiya, and welcome to Lickety Split's Sweets and Treats!" The green mare greeted, before she realized that her sudden switch in attention might have been a little rude to Wrecker, and she glanced in his direction, gesturing with a hoof for him to come and say hi to the new arrival, and join the conversation.

"I'm Lickety Split, and this is Sound Wrecker, who might you be, mister? And what can I do for ya?" The young mare asked, politely, leaning across the counter to offer a hoof to the muscular blacksmith, her voice eager and friendly.

Still chewing vigorously at the gumball in her mouth, Lickety paused to think for a moment, before grinning and replying to his question eagerly, at the same time nodding to acknowledge that she was okay with him staying for a little while longer.

"What are ya in Canterlot for, Wrecker? And where are ya headed after you head off?" The chubby mare questioned, smiling warmly at the slightly awkward young stallion, her chewing unceasing as she worked away at the gumball in her mouth, still leaning up against the machine that had dispensed it.

Noticing Sound Wrecker mimic the tilting of her head, Lickety giggled a little, tilting her head over to the other side as if to make sure he was definitely mimicking her movements, and it hadn't been an accident, whether or not it was a conscious action.

"Aww.. Forty minutes? Now that's no fun at all.. " Lickety replied, frowning a little, clearly upset by the thought of anyone left alone and bored at a train station, for a whole forty minutes.

"Hmm.. How about we just talk for a bit, see if we can't make time fly just a little faster?" Lickety asked, smiling warmly at her customer, as she moved to lean casually against a nearby gumball machine, which, after a moment's thought, she quickly purchased a gumball from, and began to chew while she waited for his response.

Noting Sound Wrecker's retreat as she advanced, Lickety looked a little puzzled, but didn't comment, only taking his hoof and shaking it vigorously, a wide grin on her face as she released him and nodded happily.

"Yep! That's me: Lickety Split, owner of Lickety Split's Sweet and Treats! Nice to meet you, Sound!" Lickety replied, pirouetting on the spot with hooves wide, as if to encompass all of the shop that surrounded them, and demonstrate her ownership.

Giggling a little after the quick spin that left her just a tad dizzy, Lickety smiled at the blue stallion, and spoke, tilting her head in curiosity.
"So... Anything else I can do for you, Sound Wrecker?" She queried, smiling curiously, eager to see if the stallion wanted to chat, or had places to be.

As Lickety watched the young stallion's gaze shift from the floor to the bag of confectionary at his hooves, and then heard his mildly reassuring words, her frown was replaced by a tiny smile, glad that she hadn't severely hurt this poor stallion with her stupid joke, as she shifted a little closer, bright pink eyes friendly, and apologetic.

"Oh.. Okay. Sorry for scaring you anyways, was really silly of me.." The chubby mare replied, apologetically, one hoof scraping the ground apologetically, before his question caused her smile to widen just a little.

"For those? Hmm.. no charge. Think of it as an apology gift, Mister..?" Lickety commented, after a moment of thought, gesturing with a hoof towards the bag of lollies that he held, before smiling a little more widely, and extending the soft green hoof to him in greeting. She was clearly happy to meet somepony new, even if it wasn't under the best of circumstances.

Lickety frowned a little at his response, although she Was glad he was unharmed. As he spoke, her mouth (normally more suited to wide smiles) curled into a small frown of apology and embarrassment.
"Once again, really sorry about that, Mister. I wouldn't have done it if I'd known it would upset you so bad.." The pale green mare offered, as she levitated the bag of sweets into the poor young stallion's hooves, making it clear she was offering them in apology.

Watching the young stallion's terrified reaction, Lickety paused, tilting her head to one side, as her smile shifted quickly to a confused frown.

After watching the poor stallion shiver for a little bit on the floor, the chubby peppermint-maned mare leapt over her counter in a display of surprising agility, leaning down to poke the blue stallion curiously, whilst her horn glowed a bright pink, and began to sweep the lollies on the counter into a paper bag, which then floated into her hooves.

"You okay, Mister? Didn't mean to scare you so bad.. I just saw you sneaking around, and thought it'd be funny.. Or, didn't really think, to be honest.." Lickety inquired, voice quiet and apologetic, as she poked his hoof again, trying to get him to lift his hooves away from his face so she could see if he was okay.

As Lickety watched the blue stallion finish gathering up the sweets he was going to purchase, and then approach the counter as if to wake her, she had to stifle a tiny giggle, but kept her eyes closed, deciding that she felt like pranking her visitor. Sure, it was a little mean, but she'd be sure to make it up to him afterwards.

The moment Wrecker leaned in to brush her peppermint mane, Lickety lunged forwards from her spot, placing herself eye to eye with the young blue stallion, and, grinning gleefully, shouted: "SUPRISE!!" at the top of her lungs, her bright pink eyes twinkling with good, albeit childish, humour.

At the sound of the door being pushed open, Lickety stirred a little, turning to face the other way, still snoring sweetly, her peppermint mane blowing back and forth in the sugar-scented breeze created by her snoring.

Gradually, though, as the blue stallion walked around the otherwise empty shop, the chubby young mare behind the counter, slowly opened a single hot-pink eye, and as she trained it on the messy-maned young stallion who wandered her shop, a smile slowly appeared on her face, although she didn't give any other indication that she was awake, wondering what her visitor was up to, and why he seemed to be moving quietly deliberately.

It was a slow afternoon in Lickety's shop, an impressively well maintained and well stocked wonderland of confectionary, the large, colourful sign at the entrance, marking it as: Lickety's Split's Sweets and Treats.

Lickety was lazing behind the counter of her lolly-shop, snoring faintly. Her long, poofy, red and white mane fell over her eyes, blocking her face from view as she leaned back on her seat, leaning up against the wall behind her. She was snoring cutely, letting out tiny puffs and drawing in little gasps of air, each one pulling or pushing the tuft of hair that hung near her mouth, making it swing in the otherwise still air like a pendulum.

From somewhere behind the counter, a gramophone filled the huge, candy-filled shop with quiet music. A happy tune, and something about lollipops could be heard, but not much else, the mint-green mare having turned the volume down in order to facilitate her afternoon nap.
