Canterlot / Re: "Dear sister..."

Golden stared at the paper Spring gave her first. She read it through again, before putting it into her own saddlebag. "My own armor? I was afraid i'd had to wear that silly garb all the Royal Guards wear." Golden walked after Spring, waving off her salute "Let's not get too formal right away..." Golden would have to inform the mining company, that she had just been re-employed. Those careerists could take her spot. She was getting quite annoyed by the constant struggle between the two parties anyway. As long as her job was to be a mechanic, she would have no problems filling these, apparently high expectations of her new "boss".

"Of course i take it. I'd have to work ten years for that" Golden takes the form from Spring "This is real, right?" Golden was beaming at the offer, but she was still suspicious. "This is not a lie to get me to sign this?" Spring wasn't known to be a liar, but the offer just sounded too good to be true. Golden picked the pen from Spring, and signed the already filled form. "So, when is the hospital spot ready? When can i get Cobalt moved to the Royal hospital?"

"You just had to tell it to everypony...? Well? What is it...?" Golden picked the parchment with her magic, opened it and began to read. She remained doubtful for first few lines, then her eyes widened. "A place in Canterlot's Royal Hospital??? H-how...?"

Golden stopped on her tracks halfway through Spring's speech. She groaned again after her sister was done. "Very funny Spring... I can barely stand from all the laughter... Now go away. The answer is still no, and you know why. I get more bits from my current job, than i would as a guard."

"The pleasure is all yours..." Golden answered a little bluntly. "And if you're here to invite me to that filly scout club of yours, the answer is still no..." She walked past Spring, lifting the other mare up with her magic, but Golden didn't say anything, just continued walking. Spring hopping after her, despite the little trip caused Golden to groan. "What do you want...?"

Golden trotted down the market street in Canterlot, doing her grocery shopping, and picking up some small knick-knacks from foreign merchants all trying to push their good to ponies. She stops by a stall selling carrots, then picks up some nails. After that she moves to pick up couple loafs of bread, and a bottle of milk. Golden played oblivious to a shadow following her, causing huge confusion in the merchants, as this shadow hid under their stalls, behind their goods, or in some other way used their property for hiding purposes. After picking up a box of cookies, Golden left the market street, turning to a smaller alleyway. She waited right behind the corner, and extended her hoof for the purpose of tripping the next pony that would enter the same alleyway as she did.

"Neither did i... But i'm no doctor, nor did i see the match, so... I can't really give any further comment on that. Let's just hope it wasn't anything serious." Golden said, her attention on the fights. She didn't want to meet that pony in battle, if the mystic mare could apparently make ponies sick with her magic. At least it seemed like that for now.

"No..." Golden replied, turning to look at Sero. "I think i've heard about this event before, but i know nothing of it. I would have armed better if i had... My chances of getting somewhere here seem pretty dim, judging by all the heavy, real weaponry all those ponies have." Golden said, motioning towards the zones. "I take you know a lot about this tournament? Are you a regular pony around the event? You did get a pass into the combatant waiting area after all."

Golden gave Sero an amused look after his last comment about Fritter, and only "replied" to it with a chuckle.

Golden directed her eyes towards the zones, while still listening Sero. She smirked when Sero called some of the fighters "colorful characters", as she was most likely included in that description of combatants. "I can't say anything about that mystic mare... I didn't see the fight... I don't think i've even seen that pony at all..." Golden hoped she wouldn't face this mysterious pony. She had next to no experience with magic, and most likely wouldn't have a way to counter such spells that apparently could make ponies sick right away. "Maybe it was just something spoiled..." She said with a thoughtful tone. Golden fell silent as she began to actually pay attention to the fights, hoping to actually get some information about the other fighters, in case she would face somepony of them in a fight later on.

"Doubt it" Golden said, taking the empty seat next to Sero. Golden kept looking at the ongoing fights. She chuckled at Sero's comment, about her first battle. "Yeah... I was literally trembling in my horseshoes. Thanks... I'm not a professional fighter myself, but i think i can say that my opponent was... Not meant to be here... More or less."

"Any favorites among the combatants?" Golden asked "Besides me, of course." She added sarcastically.

Golden looked as Star left the workshop, and presumably went to a bedroom of some sort, to rest. Golden turned to look at Haywire, the happiness and energy gone, as the stallion wiped a tear away from his cheek. Golden shook her head at Hay's apology. "No need to apologize. I was warned about possible "resistance" from the machines..." Golden put her hoof on Hay's shoulder to get his attention. "Maybe you should go talk to her?" She suggested, accompanied by a smile.

"Unless you need my help for anything, i will leave you to it. I'll come back later, when things are a bit better here, okay?" Golden said, getting up from the floor and ready to either leave, or help Haywire, if he needed her help.

Golden took a glance around the room as the machines quieted down. Hay seemed to have at least some control over them, making her feel a bit safer around them. Her attention snapped to Hay when he called her. Golden stood up, quickly moving to where Hay and Star were. Golden gently shook Star's shoulder, calling her name out "Star? Star? Can you hear us?"

The sudden loud noice caused Golden to accidentally and quite violently crush the cookie she was holding with her magic, and made her recoil back from the table, causing the cup of milk to topple over and spill on the table. Golden wore a bit shocked expression as she looked at the direction of the voice. Seeing the outcome, she remained silent, and was somewhat ready to react to any other "prank" she could spot happening.

Golden had been sitting in the resting area for some time now, eating a bit and she was now drinking some dark black coffee. She was bored. Her next match wouldn't start for a long time, and the resting area had nothing to spend time with. After finishing the mug of coffee, Golden decided to go and observe some fighting while she waited, maybe get an idea what might be waiting for her in the next round.

After searching for a available seat for some time, Golden spotted a familiar looking stallion in the crowd, and a free seat next to him. She made her way to him, and after reaching the spot, Golden asked with a bit sarcastic tone "How many of the battles you think could have been won with a book?" After that she looked at the empty seat and asked, "This seat taken?" from Sero.

Golden raised her eyebrow, not sure if Hay was joking about the hot sauce or not. "They seem pretty... Angry, if you ask me, but then again, that is my first impression of them..." Golden was thinking what she could ask Hay to invent for her, if the inventions would only prank her all the time. She would have to ask about that at some point. When Hay returned with some cookies, Golden grabbed couple of them with her magic, from the looks of them, they seemed to be chocolate chip cookies.

Golden was first about to say that she would stay there and finish the milk and cookies in the kitchen, but was then asked to bring the milk to the workshop with her. She shrugged, having been told that possible spills are not a problem, Golden picked the cookies, her cup and the carton with her and followed Hay to the table with the TT. She set the carton down on the table, and sat down herself, having a small inner struggle whether or not she should dip the cookies in the milk.

Golden followed Hay to the kitchen, giving looks at the grumbling machines they passed by. Once they reached the kitchen, Golden was slightly surprised to see what condition it was in. Even her kitchen looked more like a kitchen that this, which surprised her a lot. She accepted the offered carton and cup from Hay with her magic. When offered some cookies to go with them, Golden hesitated a bit, before saying "Sure... As long as they don't have any hot sauce in them...".

After pouring herself a cup of milk, Golden turned to Hay and asked "Why are the machines here so... "Unfriendly"...? Are they always like this?"
