Name: Fray
Gender: Male
Race: Diamond Dog
Age: Unclear
Appearance: Fray stands well over a head taller than the average pony stallion. His coat is a dark shade of brown, his eyes are a bright green and he wears a light set of buckskin clothing. He also carries several different colors of face paint with him for whenever they are needed.
Bio: Born into a diamond dog pack that digs its tunnels deep within the Everfree Forest, Fray was chosen at an early age to become the next shaman of his people after showing impressive skill in their gem based magic. Trained and educated in the spiritual beliefs of his pack, Fray is skilled in both healing and primal magic and has at his current age taken to traveling and exploring the Everfree Forest, and even beyond, on his own in an attempt to hone his skills and himself to perfection.
While he tends to keep to himself within the forest and during his occasional traveling, Fray is by no means antisocial, surprising the occasional brave traveler on the road with assistance or a simple invitation to join him at his camp to share stories for the night, the latter of which not surprisingly being rejected by most.
Gem Magic: Fray defends himself within the Everfree by mostly relying on his own strength and the mace he keeps with him at all times, but when things get dire or he faces something particularly dangerous, the diamond dog will fall back onto his most effective means of defense. Carrying with him several small pouches full of different types of small gems, Fray casts spells by taking a gem, embuing it with magical energy, then throwing or dropping the gem wherever he needs it to go, the magic within them being unleashed upon impact.
Fray has a wide range of spells at his command, from creating a blast offire to healing a grievous wound, but the drawback to his magic lies with the reliance he has on his supply of gems. The type and size of the gems used affectshow much magical power they can carry, and should he run out of gems, he is effectively crippled magically and must rely on his physical capabilities alone.
