Arcane had levitated few books from the shelves, and with magic made them imitate opening and closing mouths. He was floating them next to the two griffons, to make Kit's little fantasy scenario just a little more alive. Arcane was careful with the books, and returned them to their places in the shelves afterwards.

"Uhhh... Sure... We can go see the ABC-books first..." Arcane shrugged. The long stairs leading to the second floor weren't his favorite, but he could manage. The griffons didn't seem to be in hurry. "This way." Arcane began to walk towards the center of the library, where they could find the stairs. After a short walk, the trio arrived to their destination, and began to climb up the stairs, each their own way. Arcane took his time, getting upstairs, and after a while, he managed to get up there. "Hmmm... I say we start from here." Arcane said, pointing at a small opening in the middle of huge bookshelves, where a studying area of sorts could be seen. Arcane motioned Kit and Bree to sit down, while he began to pull various books from the bookshelf, levitating them to the table for Bree. He was picking books for early beginners, school foals, and even some higher school books, mainly meant for grammar and spelling education.

Giving a chuckle at the idea of living books, and Bree's reaction to it, Arcane turned to two griffons and said. "Daring Do books are closest. You mentioned tailoring earlier Kit, You can find books related to that from the culture section. I can show it after the adventure section." Arcane then turned to Bree "And we can find ABC-books from the study section. We go there last, since it's upstairs. Alright, let's go" Arcane began to walk towards their first stop, the Adventure section, this time making sure Bree was following them

Arcane stopped on his tracks when he saw Kit going back. He hadn't seen Bree staying behind, and got a bit worried why she didn't follow them. Kit thankfully managed to get Bree to come with them. Arcane raised his eyebrow when Bree said she didn't want to be on the way. "You're not on the way. The only one holding this party behind would be me." Arcane said, offering Bree an encouraging smile. "There's always a chance somepony gets to somepony else's way when doing something together. Then you just kindly ask them to move out of the way. You don't need to worry about that Bree. We want you to come with us."

"So...? Are we ready to go?" Arcane asked, this time wanting to be sure everybody was ready

Before The trio could start their hunt for the books, Sky yelled, much to Arcane's annoyance, to Arcane "Hey brother! Where are you going?"

"Grab the books from the table and take them home Sky. I'll come home a little bit later."

"I'm not leaving without you brother. You know that!" Sky yelled back.

"Just a second." Arcane said to Breezy and Kit, and then walked over to the table Sky was sitting at. They had a short, very quiet discussion, Sky throwing few looks at the griffons from time to time, but eventually he gave up, packed the books in his saddlebags and left. Arcane returned to the griffons. "Alright, let's get started." Arcane motioned the two griffons to follow him deeper into the library.

"Daring Do, huh?" Arcane questioned. "A book series to bring a spark of adventure to your life." He said with a chuckle, and began to walk towards their destination.

"I'm afraid there's nothing you can do to help me girls." Arcane said, sharing a look and a small chuckle between the two griffons. "Always been like this, and i don't think a pretty binding could help it... But, let's not dwell on that. We got books to find, right?" Arcade said, motioning the griffons to follow him. "I already know what you need." Arc said pointing at Breezy. "But what are you after Kit? What kind of light reading?"

Arcane nodded a confirmation to Kit, to her question about him doing archeology, but his mind wandered off when both of them discussed that librarians were hard to find there. Well it was to be expected. It was the biggest library in Canterlot after all, but surely he could spot at least one or two. Arcane knew few of the librarians pretty well, and could most likely get them to help the griffons, but no matter how much he tried to spot them, he couldn't see them, or any other librarian for that matter.

Arcane had missed the talk about clothing and tailoring, but his attention snapped back to Kit when she addressed him. "Naah... Not with this leg..." Arcane said, pointing at his right hind hoof. "I aim to be a teacher instead" Arcane noticed Breezy's changed behaviour, not sure if she was alright. Thinking that maybe if they'd try to walk a little, to maybe find the books the griffons were after, Arcane suggested "This place is pretty busy at this time of the day. But i know the library pretty well, and maybe i could help you find what you're looking for, both of you." He said, offering the griffons a smile

Arcane listened as Breezy answered to the other gryphon. He kinda wanted to remind both gryphons that they were still in a library, where ponies, and gryphons alike should remain relatively quiet, but decided to let it slide, just this once. Arcane turned to look at Kit when she finally came into view, but remained quiet for now.

"Greetings." Arcane said after Kit's hello. He smiled innocently at Kit's remark about him and Breezy. "Arcane Solace." Arcane introduced himself very briefly, not wanting to interfere too much between griffons, if they'd have something to talk about. He was still ready to join the conversation and answer questions, if some were presented to him.

Hearing that Breezy was actually looking into learning to read Equestrian language, Arcane couldn't help but smile again. "I can point you to right direction, with learning to read. This library has books from basic ABC-books, all the way to academic level grammar books. All the tools are here" Arcane was motioning the entire library. "You are right about the librarians though... They can, and usually are very busy." Hearing that Breezy had already been in Canterlot for half a year, Arcane tried to think if he had seen her somewhere, but Breezy's appearance didn't ring any bells. He has gotten in a argument with a griffon few months back, but that one was male. His train of thought was derailed when Breezy asked him about archeology.

"I'm afraid my stories are limited to dusty scrolls and bland school desks. I... Haven't had a chance to go to a archeological dig sites or tombs, outside tours kept for tourists and such. I am studying advanced archeology, and like i told you before, i'm currently being home schooled. Though i can probably tell you anything about archeology, as long as it's been documented." A strange chirping noise caught Arcane's ear, and caused him to look around, trying to spot the source of that sound. "Friend of yours...?" Arcane ask, assuming that Breezy had heard the chirping noise too.

Arcane smiled after seeing that Breezy didn't seem to quite follow on what he said before. "I'm currently studying archeology. Home school. I need to finish an essay, a long written "report" for my teacher about crystal empire's archeological importance to our culture. It's a tough topic, but i find it very interesting."

Wanting to break the silence, Arcane tried to spark some small talk between them "How long have you been here in Canterlot? If you're going to stay here, i'd really advice you to learn read equestrian language" Arcane said, offering another smile to Breez as he began to float some of the books from the ground back to their places in the shelves. "It would help you a lot."

Once Arcane got a good look at the book, he immediately recognized it. "Where the Sidewalk Ends. By Shel Silvermane. Really good book if you ask me." Arcane frowned when he heard That Breezy couldn't read the book, only enjoy the pictures in it. Arcane hoped he could somehow take the reading skills away from Sky and give them to Breezy, who was clearly much more interested in written literature than Sky. "That's... Shame... I highly recommend you to learn how to read Equestrian language, if you wish to get the full experience a  library like this can provide."

When asked if he was working at the library, Arcane shook his head "Oh, no. I'm here gathering some books for a little research project i'm currently doing. About archaeology." Though working there wouldn't be that bad. If he would never become a teacher, he would probably try to become a librarian instead.

Arcane raised his eyebrow once he heard the rather interesting take on Equestrian language. Thankfully it was still easily understandable, at least for him. Arcane gave Breezy a nod when thanked and began to scan the books laying around the floor. After a while he looked back at Breez and returned the smile. "Library is indeed a wonderful place. I do tend to visit here quite regularly." Arcane chuckled lightly at the smell comment. "I don't know about those candles, but the smell is quite nice, enjoyable. At least to some..." Arcane threw a quick look and smirked when he saw what book Sky was reading, currently being on a page about pigs and there was a pop-up image of three pigs there. "Arcane Solace. Nice to meet you miss Breezy" Arcane said when Breez introduced herself.

"What are you reading." Arcane said while positioning himself so that the book wasn't upside down for him.

"Are you done yet...?" A green pegasus asked, apparently not even being noticed by the purple unicorn on the other side of the table. "... How about now...? ... Now...? ... You could just borrow that and read it at home... ... How about now...?" The frustrated rant finally managed to get Arcane to lift his head up and to look at his brother "I didn't ask you to come here Sky..." He turned the page and returned his attention to the book.

"I had to. You always lend so many books and somepony needs to carry them home..." Sky Bound pulled one of the books Arcane had pulled from the self earlier and opened it. He skimmed through it and found a new topic for complaining "There isn't even any pictures here... Only text... Boring walls of text... What is this even about...?" Sky turned the book over to read it's title. "The Artifacts of Crystal Empire, written by... Naah who cares..."

"I do..." Arcane said without looking up. Once he got to the end of the page, Arcane set a bookmark there and levitated the book into Sky's saddleback. "There is pictures there too, but i'm assuming you would like there to be a picture on every page, that takes about two thirds of each page?"

"W-well... Not necessarily every page..."

Arcane noticed a griffon walking to the library. That reminded him that he still needed to fetch a book about rumored griffon cult that existed long ago. Keeping this in mind Arcane started to stuff the rather big pile of books into Sky's saddlebags, before hearing some books falling. Most likely novellas or children's books, considering the noise they made that was barely audible. Sky was still occupied with the book he began to "study" earlier and missed this little incident.

Arcane looked at the direction where he spotted the griffon before, and saw her holding on to a shelf, rescuing it from slamming down on the floor. She seemingly got interested in the fallen books, sat down on the floor and started to read one. Even if they we're children's books, Arcane had respect towards them and didn't want to see books being "mistreated". Though he also new that griffons had somewhat different culture and way of doing things, and this being the first time he saw a live griffon reading, Arcane decided to go ask her if she was okay. But not before grabbing few books from around Breezy with his magic and floating them over to the table he occupied with his brother. "Here, these have more pictures." Arcane jumped down from his chair as Sky looked at the new books. "Pop-up book... Learn to know all the farm animals... Really brother...?" But Arcane had already left. Seeing him going to talk to a griffon nearby, Sky shrugged and actually started to read the pop-up book, seeing it much more interesting than some boring history book.

"Are you alright?" Arcane asked once he reached the griffon.
